Finland – Meal delivery service – Ateriakuljetuspalvelut Turun vankilaan

The subject of the procurement is catering transport services to Turun vankila. The estimated start date for the transport need is 09/2026 and the estimated duration is 8-12 months. The content of the procurement subject is as follows:

1) Transport route:

- Auran keskuskeittiö (Mikonpolku 2, 21380 Aura) – Turun vankila (Mathilda Wreden katu 1, 20251 Turku)

- Auran keskuskeittiö (Mikonpolku 2, 21380 Aura)

- Vehicle weight limit including load: 15 tonnes

- Neither location has a loading dock in use, so the transport vehicles and trolleys are unloaded in the yard and pushed in through the door.

- There are multiple unloading points at the prison.

2) Catering transports on weekdays (initially 2 times a day + separate collection and return of transport vehicles)

- Breakfast transport: arrives in Turku at 6:30 (OPTION)

- Collection of the previous day's evening meal/late-night meal food transport vehicles from Turun vankila in the morning and return with the lunch transport collection to Auran keskuskeittiö

- Lunch transport: arrives in Turku at 10:30

- Evening meal/late-night meal transport: arrives in Turku at 14:30

3) Catering transports on weekends/public holidays (initially 1 time a day + separate collection and return of transport vehicles)

- Breakfast transport: arrives in Turku at 7:30 (OPTION)

- Collection of the previous day's evening meal/late-night meal food transport vehicles from Turun vankila in the morning and return with the evening meal transport collection to Auran keskuskeittiö

- Evening meal/late-night meal transport: arrives in Turku at 13:30

The buyer reserves the option to add breakfast transports to the agreement. The buyer decides separately on the use of the option.

4) Quantities

- Transport quantities to the prison are 8 - 12 food transport vehicles

- if necessary, additionally 1-2 trolleys per day

- With the evening meal/late-night meal transport, the supplier collects the lunch transport vehicles from the prison and returns them to the central kitchen.

- The supplier collects the evening meal/late-night meal transport vehicles from the prison the next day and returns them to the central kitchen with the lunch transport collection (on weekends and public holidays with the evening meal/late-night meal transport).

5) Dimensions of food transport vehicles and trolleys

Food transport vehicle: Height 160cm, width 54cm and depth 78cm (vehicle weight approx. 65 kg, loaded approx. 150 kg)

Trolleys: Height approx. 170 cm, width approx. 70-75 cm, depth approx. 85-90 cm (loaded approx. 200 kg)

The buyer has no obligation to purchase, but catering transport services are purchased as needed. The content of the procurement should be understood as information facilitating the preparation and pricing of the tender. The buyer will enter into an agreement with one (1) supplier. The draft agreement is in the tender request appendix 1.
