Germany – Telecommunications services – Stadt Tettnang- Konzessionsvergabe zur Planung, Errichtung und Betrieb eines Giga-Breitbandnetzes durch Gewährung einer Zuwendung zur Schließung einer Wirtschaftlichen Deckungslücke

The city of Tettnang intends to promote the construction of a Gigabit network in underserved areas by granting an approved and provisionally granted subsidy in accordance with the directive "Förderung zur Unterstützung des Gigabitausbaus der Telekommunikationsnetze in der Bundesrepublik Deutschland" (hereinafter "Gigabit-RL 2.0") of 31.03.2023 in the amended version of 2025 and the "Rahmenregelung der Bundesrepublik Deutschland zur Unterstützung des flächen-deckenden Aufbaus von Gigabitnetzen in 'grauen Flecken'" (hereinafter "Gigabit-RR") as well as by a grant already awarded under the VwV Gigabitmitfinanzierung of 27 July 2023 of the State of Baden-Württemberg to the concessionaire. The final funding applications are to be submitted after the successful completion of the tendering procedure and on the basis of the tendering results. The aim of the measure is to enable the "dark grey areas" on the municipal area to be developed via a Gigabit network by granting investment grants in accordance with the Gigabit directive. The subject of the award is the granting of a subsidy (viability gap) for the establishment and operation of a sustainable and high-performance telecommunications network infrastructure by a private operator for a period of seven years.
