The two Soest hospitals, Klinikum Stadt Soest gGmbH and Marienkrankenhaus Soest gGmbH, merged in June 2025 under a corporate law merger to form the Christliches Klinikum Soest (CKS) under the umbrella of the Katholisches Hospitalverbund Hellweg gGmbH and are currently operated at two locations. The previously separate medical care mandates of the two hospitals, which to a significant extent include the same care offerings, will initially continue to be operated at two locations under the aspect of first departmental centralizations. The former Klinikum Stadt Soest will in future be named Christliches Klinikum Soest West (CKSW) and the former Marienkrankenhaus will be renamed Christliches Klinikum Soest Mitte (CKSM).
