GVB Infra BV is currently tasked with procuring the civil works in and around the tram tracks from 1 January 2027 from an external party, which must also consider sustainability aspects. GVB considers this aspect to be of great importance from a societal perspective, both now and for the future. A new agreement with an external party should therefore provide for this forward-thinking ambition. The sustainability targets for emission reduction, zero emission or emission-free and circularity of the municipality of Amsterdam and the VRA in 2030 and 2035 will be included within the term of the agreement and are relevant to the scope of this tender. This tender from GVB focuses on civil works in and around the tram infrastructure based on the Multi-Year Maintenance Plan (MOP). This includes daily maintenance (DO), emergency services (CD) and Multi-Year Replacement Projects (MVP) in Greater Amsterdam. GVB manages 500 tram stops and approximately 200 km of tram tracks on behalf of the VRA. To ensure the operation of trams, it is necessary to periodically, and in some cases urgently, maintain the tram track pavements. This includes, among other things:

• Breaking up/laying paving;

• Breaking up/laying asphalt in the tram track or carriageway;

• Removing and/or relaying tram track plates;

• Laying PVC pipes for the drainage of rainwater and for cables and pipes;

• Laying the subgrade (cunet) of the tram track foundation;

• Removing/laying concrete tram track foundation (sub-base);

• Removing/laying concrete tram track pavement between the rails;

• Grouting rail sections;

• Placing, maintaining and removing temporary traffic measures: deposits, diversion signs, etc.;

• Various civil works next to and around the tram track.
