Finland – Works for complete or part construction and civil engineering work – Vt 4 Vestonmäen kohta, Joutsa ja Toivakka, ST-urakka, osallistumispyyntö

The Finnish Transport Agency invites tenders for the construction contract "Vt 4 Vestonmäen kohta, Joutsa and Toivakka, ST-urakka". The contract includes design and construction to the extent defined in the tender notice and its appendices. The project area is located on the busy national road 4 in the municipalities of Joutsa and Toivakka. National road 4 (E75) is a nationally and internationally important north-south road link and Finland's most significant connection from the capital region through Central Finland to Northern Finland. National road 4 is an important part of Finland's main road network (service class I) and is part of the TEN-T core network. National road 4 carries a large amount of long-distance heavy traffic, transporting, among other things, goods, industrial and logistics for essential services. The contract includes the improvement of national road 4 in the municipalities of Joutsa and Toivakka, at the Vestonmäen location. The national road will be improved mainly to its current location. The current Vestonmäen bypass section will be improved to a central barrier section and, at the same time, the horizontal and vertical geometry of national road 4 will be improved. In addition, the contract will build the Soimaharjuntien junction as a grade-separated junction and, at the same time, reorganise the current private road arrangements. The contract is a comprehensive design and build contract (ST-urakka). The content of the contract is described in more detail in the tender documents.
