Germany – Servers – Lieferung eines GPU-Servers

The Bauhaus-Universität Weimar is procuring a GPU server system for research in the field of Intelligent Information Systems. The contracting authority uses Linux-based operating systems and software. Therefore, all components must meet the following requirements:

a) Server: Certification of the respective server type, for example, by the “YES Certified Program” for SUSE Enterprise or the “Red Hat Hardware Certification Program” or certification as “Ubuntu Server Certified Hardware”. Alternatively, an equivalent manufacturer's proof that the offered server type is supported with a current, generally available Linux distribution in productive server operation is permissible.

b) Software: Any proprietary drivers and software that may be required must be Linux-compatible and included. Licenses for drivers and software required for this purpose must be supplied free of charge for at least 10 years with an unlimited number of users. An operating system does not have to be pre-installed. The advertised server system will be installed in the server room of the main building of the Faculty of Media (Bauhausstr. 11, 99423 Weimar). For connectivity with the existing 10G-Ethernet switch system (Cisco Nexus 9000 Series), CAT7-RJ45 ports are available on patch panels in the rack. The systems must be installable in standard 19-inch rack width. Cooling is provided via a closed cold aisle. Water cooling is not possible.
