The planning area is located between Glogaustraße, Bezirkssportanlage Melverode and Lübenstraße. The scope of the land-use plan „Glogaustraße-Süd“, ME 69, is located in the district of Melverode and includes areas of the Bezirkssportanlage Melverode that, following a redevelopment and restructuring of the sports facility, are no longer needed and are available for alternative subsequent use. Access is via Glogaustraße. The scope of the future land-use plan „Glogaustraße-Süd“, ME 69, covers an area of approximately 3.5 ha, which is owned by the city of Braunschweig. Approximately 100 residential units are to be created in the northern part of the planning area (WA 1) through multi-storey residential construction, while in the southern part a classic, dense terraced housing development (WA 2 and WA 3) with approximately 53 residential units is planned. Alternative housing types, such as buildings with a reduced floor space ratio, can also be realised in WA 3.
