The aim of this procurement procedure is to select a suitable network operator who, starting in July 2027, will provide comprehensive market-standard broadband services in the advertised project area and will operate the NGA network, constructed as part of federal and state funding, on a long-term basis. The concessionaire is obligated to plan, construct, commission, and operate a functional and future-proof high-speed network throughout the entire contract period. In doing so, existing own network infrastructure and public infrastructure should be used, wherever technically possible and economically viable. Furthermore, third-party network components may be leased if this contributes to the economic implementation of the project.
