Germany – Architectural services for buildings – SANIERUNG FUNKHAUS STUTTGART, BAUTEIL A Ebene 2 bis 5, 2. Bauabschnitt

The Funkhaus Stuttgart of the SWR was constructed between 1973 and 1976 and has been under monument protection since 2000. Due to the age-related condition of the building fabric and the technical building equipment, as well as changed requirements for modern work environments, the building complex is being renovated and modernised in several construction phases. The focus is on the renewal of the structural and technical infrastructure, the implementation of current fire protection, safety and hygiene standards, as well as the adaptation of the areas to modern office and usage concepts with desk sharing and hybrid working forms. The subject of the 2nd construction phase is the renovation of partial areas of levels 02 to 05 in building sections A and B with a gross floor area of approximately 6,000 m². The measure includes in particular the restructuring and modernisation of office areas, archive and storage areas, as well as the conversion of existing areas. In addition, extensive renovation work will be carried out on the technical systems of the trades sanitation, heating, cooling, ventilation, building automation and electrical engineering. Furthermore, asbestos removal, fire protection upgrades and measures to improve the quality of stay and accessibility are planned. The implementation will be carried out during the ongoing operation of the Funkhaus and taking into account the requirements of monument protection. For the award of architectural services according to § 34 HOAI (building and interior design) a negotiated procedure according to § 17 paragraph 1 VgV will be carried out. The procedure is currently in the first stage, the selection competition. On the basis of the eligibility and selection criteria defined in the notice, the bidders will be selected, who will then be invited to submit their offers and to present their concepts.
