Switzerland – Construction work – Baumeisterarbeiten - Unterwerk Botterens

The existing Botterens substation comprises a 220-kV switchgear and a 60-kV switchgear. The 220-kV switchgear is owned by Swissgrid, while the 60-kV switchgear belongs to Groupe E. The 220-kV switchgear, constructed in the 1980s, has reached the end of its technical lifespan. Therefore, a large part of the facility must be replaced. The replacement of Swissgrid's facilities has direct impacts on the network operator Groupe E. It is therefore of great importance that the renewal is carried out with as few supply interruptions as possible. Another requirement of the project is to enable a separation of the two facilities from Swissgrid and Groupe E at the Botterens substation site. For this purpose, the construction of a new operating building is planned. The following works are to be carried out within the framework of the present tender: * Site establishment including fencing and safety measures, access gates and construction roads * Delivery and installation of the earthing of the site establishment * Dismantling of existing cable systems and concrete structures * Construction of new underground cable ducts * Construction work for the new operating building, including site establishment, excavation and backfilling work, foundation work, drainage and sealing * Phased and sequential construction of new apparatus foundations in the area of the 220-kV switchgear * Partial adaptation of the existing fencing * Works for the drainage of rainwater and wastewater from the facilities * Construction of the separation fence between the facilities of Swissgrid and Groupe E * Construction of the new access road and the new pedestrian access * Installation of two sliding gates for trucks and vehicle access * Installation of an access gate for pedestrians * Construction of the foundation and delivery of the charging station for electric vehicles at the parking lots of the new operating building The detailed components of the services are listed in document C100.
