Port of Antwerp Bruges (POAB) wishes to develop the Swedish Quay in Zeebrugge into a sustainable cruise terminal that reduces operational costs and contributes to a safe and pleasant cruise experience. Currently, cruises are handled from the ABC building, located some distance from the Swedish Quay, making bus transport (between the terminal in the ABC building and the cruise ships) necessary for passengers. A new cruise terminal on the Swedish Quay should enable passengers to access the terminal (building) directly from the cruise ships - and vice versa - via boarding bridges (connecting bridges between the terminal and cruise ship).
