Germany – Laboratory, optical and precision equipments (excl. glasses) – Live-Cell-Imaging-System

The Universitätsmedizin Greifswald promotes translational research approaches in various fields, which use living cell cultures, complex 3D models and immune cell co-cultures. In particular, in patient-oriented research, for example with primary cells from biopsies or surgical material, continuous, non-invasive monitoring of cellular processes is essential - especially when only limited starting material is available. Currently, there is no standalone live-cell imaging system available in the research laboratory of the Surgical Clinic. This hinders the performance of complex long-term experiments and results in laborious endpoint analysis, which is both personnel- and material-intensive. The planned procurement of a live-cell imaging system therefore represents a decisive basis for the further development of innovative immunotherapeutic projects. At the same time, the new infrastructure will also be available to other research units of the Universitätsmedizin Greifswald, the University and potential economic cooperation partners.
