Section 130a, paragraph 8 of the German Social Code V (SGB V) enables statutory health insurance funds and pharmaceutical companies to conclude framework discount contracts for medicines to be dispensed at the expense of the statutory health insurance funds. With regard to the relevant legal provisions for the award of public contracts, a regular process of substance-related, formal tendering procedures according to the regulations of Part 4 of the German Act Against Restraints of Competition (GWB) is conducted by DAK-Gesundheit. For medicines to be specified by the bidder in more detail in Annex 2 to the contract, for the aforementioned active substance Fampridin (exclusively pack size 14 units and 112 units), ATC N07XX07, DAK-Gesundheit intends to conclude pharmaceutical discount contracts with as many interested pharmaceutical companies as possible until the entry into force of new pharmaceutical discount contracts. A discount contract under the approval model for the aforementioned active substance will come into force for the first time on 01.11.2026 and will end on 31.10.2028 (plus extension option 1x12 months). It will automatically end, regardless, with the entry into force of the exclusive contract.
