The city of Cuxhaven plans to build a new four-stream primary school and a sports hall with two sports halls on a municipal property at Hermann-Allmers-Straße in Cuxhaven. The city of Cuxhaven is the sponsor of the "Gorch-Fock-Schule" primary school. It is a full-day school. The primary school is housed together with a secondary school in a shared building. Due to spatial reasons, the city of Cuxhaven has decided to construct a new building for the primary school, which will move into the building upon its completion. The new building is to be designed for a four-stream primary school as a full-day school. The educational concept is to be revised as part of the new building planning. The four-stream school is to be designed for 400 pupils. The teaching staff comprises 22 teachers, 18 educational staff, two school social pedagogues, one school administration officer and one caretaker. On the same property at 27472 Cuxhaven, Hermann-Allmers-Straße, there is currently a sports hall, the Hermann-Allmers-Halle. This hall is dilapidated and is therefore to be demolished and replaced by a new building with two sports halls. The construction costs (cost group 300 - 400) for the school incl. sports hall are estimated at approximately 23 million EUR gross, according to current initial estimates. The aim is to identify construction cost savings. The project management for this construction project will be tendered in a separate procurement procedure.
