Description

Fernwärme Duisburg GmbH (hereinafter referred to as FD) plans to further expand the district heating network in Duisburg. By constructing a district heating supply line from Duisburg-Hamborn to Duisburg-Meiderich, FD will be able to connect further customers to the district heating network. The total length of the planned district heating routes amounts to approx. 4.4 km. The construction measure is divided into three lots. The integration into the existing district heating network will take place in the “Alleestraße” with a nominal width of DN 300. The route then continues along Emscherstraße and Kochstraße and crosses Neumühler Straße in closed construction with a pipe jacking to Arnold-Dehnen-Straße. Along Arnold-Dehnen-Straße up to the intersection with Wiesbadener Straße and Nauheimer Straße, the district heating route will continue to be executed in DN 300. The main pipeline ends there and a smaller pipeline in DN 125 will be routed through Nauheimer Straße and the adjacent park to the senior centre “Christophoruswerk” at Bonhoefferstraße. Up to this point, the route length is approx. 3.8 km. From there, a distribution network approx. 600 m long from DN 65 to DN 125 and a total of 14 house connections from DN 25 to DN 65 are to be constructed on the site of the Christophoruswerk. Along Emscherstraße, a pipeline approx. 300 m long in DN 65 and four house connections in DN 25 to DN 50 for connecting various buildings of the Landschaftspark Duisburg Nord are also planned. For the pipe static design of the district heating route, 130 °C and 16 bar apply. KMR district heating pipelines of the nominal widths for all the nominal widths mentioned are to be laid for both the flow and return. The main pipeline strands in DN 300 are provided in insulation class 2, insulation class 1 applies to all smaller nominal widths. The T60/1 system (HDW system) of SZE Spezial Elektronik Hagenuk GmbH is used as the leak warning system. The district heating pipelines are to be predominantly constructed in open trench with plastic casing pipes (KMR). The crossing of Neumühler Straße with KMR DN 300/500 from Kochstraße to Arnold-Dehnen-Straße will be carried out with two steel protective pipes DN 600 each and a total length of 26 m each for the flow and return line. The plastic casing pipes will be pulled into the aforementioned steel protective pipes with sliding skids. The crossing under the bridge for the BAB 42 will be carried out in open construction without protective pipes. The district heating pipelines are to be laid outside the load-bearing range of the bridge foundations. The crossing of the Alte Emscher in Emscherstraße will be carried out in open construction in the existing bridge structure (culvert). This description of services applies to the construction services including the delivery of materials. For the tender, performance schedules for pipe construction and civil engineering works have been created, which are part of this tender. The planned district heating route runs through the edge areas of registered archaeological monuments. These are to be classified as sensitive and archaeologically monitored by a specialist company. The route also runs through areas for which, according to aerial image evaluation, no specific suspect points for ordnance are present, but for which corresponding checking or monitoring is also recommended.
