Section 130a, paragraph 8, of the German Social Code (SGB V) allows health insurance companies and pharmaceutical companies to conclude framework discount contracts for medicines to be dispensed at the expense of the statutory health insurance companies. With regard to the relevant legal provisions for the award of public contracts, the DAK-Gesundheit regularly conducts substance-related, formal tendering procedures in accordance with the regulations of Part 4 of the German Competition Act (GWB). For medicines to be specified by the bidder in more detail in Annex 2 to the contract, for the above-mentioned active substance Granisetron (exclusively in the dosage form ILO), ATC A04AA02, the DAK-Gesundheit intends to conclude medicine discount contracts with as many interested pharmaceutical companies as possible until the entry into force of new medicine discount contracts. A discount contract under the licensing model for the above-mentioned active substance comes into force for the first time on 01.08.2026 and ends on 31.07.2028 (plus extension option 1x12 months). It ends automatically with the entry into force of the exclusive contract, regardless.
