The University of Hamburg (UHH) with more than 40,000 students and approximately 12,000 employees is one of the largest research and educational institutions in Northern Germany. It uses its premises and outdoor spaces for university events, such as conferences, exhibitions, or scientific lectures, as well as for events by third parties, which are mostly science-related. In this context, a company is needed that provides qualified event managers for these events and that advises the responsible authorities of the UHH on the planning of safety measures. The event managers deployed shall represent the University of Hamburg as the operator of its buildings during events on site and shall temporarily assume the operator's obligations under §38 VStättVo for this purpose. The University intends to conclude a framework agreement according to § 21 VgV for the event management service. A term of 12 months with the option of three extensions of 12 months each is envisaged for this framework agreement. The framework contract thus has a maximum term of 48 months. A start date of 1 December 2026 is envisaged. The annual volume is estimated non-bindingly at 1,000 hours of work, of which approximately 70% will be provided by event managers with higher qualifications (masters/event managers). The maximum total volume of the framework agreement is 6,000 hours of work over the maximum total term of the contract.
