Germany – Liability insurance services – Bauherrenhaftpflichtversicherung für die vorgezogene Schadstoffsanierung des Gasteig – Teil 1: Grunddeckung Führungsversicherung

The Gasteig is Munich's large, centrally located cultural and educational centre. With around 1.8 million visitors and more than 1,800 events per year, it is the largest cultural centre in Germany. After more than 30 years of intensive use, the building is due for a comprehensive renovation. This will be preceded by the decontamination of the building in 2027-2028. The Munich Urban Planning Society (MRG) as the contracting authority (AG) intends to obtain insurance tailored to needs during the advanced decontamination / demolition of the Gasteig as part of a contractor's liability insurance. The procurement of the contractor's liability insurance is divided into four parts: In the first part, which is the subject of this tender, the lead insurer for the basic cover of the contractor's liability insurance will be identified and commissioned. The contract for the basic cover will be negotiated in this procedure. A negotiated procedure with prior call for competition will be conducted in accordance with §§ 14 (3) No. 3 VgV, 17 VgV. (2) In a second procedure, the participating insurer(s) for the basic cover will then be identified. In a third part, the lead insurer for the excess insurance will then be identified and commissioned. Finally, in a fourth procedure, the participating insurer(s) for the excess insurance will be identified. Procedures 2-4 will be started at staggered times. The subject of the present first procedure is the contractor's liability insurance for the advanced decontamination – in this case, the lead insurer for the basic cover (procurement part 1). The provisional contract sum is 59 million EUR. The exact scope of services is derived from all the tender documents, in particular the model contract/model policy – tender document D.01 including annexes and the project documents – tender documents E_01.
