Germany – Electricity supply installations – Errichtung eines Batteriespeichersystems am Standort Aachen-Eilendorf

In the course of expanding a climate-friendly and stable energy system, STAWAG Energie plans to enter the operation of stationary battery storage systems. This development is in line with the strategic goal of supplying the city and region of Aachen entirely with renewable energies. To achieve this goal, the construction of a battery storage system with a capacity of approximately 15 MW and a capacity of approximately 30 MWh (C-Rate ~ 0.5) is planned at the location of Aachen-Eilendorf. This should meet legal requirements and the current state of the art. The contracting authority will provide interested tenderers with further information on the project in the form of a site plan upon request. Interested tenderers can request this additional site plan exclusively via a request for information through the website mentioned under section 5.1.11.
