The subject of the tender is the provision of cardiotechnical services, including the supply of personnel, equipment, and consumables for the Universitätsmedizin Frankfurt (Department of Cardiac and Thoracic Vascular Surgery, Department of Anesthesiology, and Department of Cardiology/Internal Medicine, Heart Catheter Laboratory). The scope of services includes approximately 1,200 operations per year in two to three operating rooms with HLM operation, approximately 300 standby procedures (mainly OPCAB), approximately 150 temporary heart supports (ECMO/ECLS), approximately 10–20 artificial heart implantations, approximately 5 IABP, and approximately 3–3.5 days of standby for transapical and transfemoral valve implantations (TAVI). The contractor must provide qualified specialist personnel (at least five full-time cardiotechnicians) to provide all cardiotechnical services comprehensively. The provision of services includes permanent availability in regular and on-call duty, including core hours from Monday to Friday from 07:30 to 16:00 or 20:00, and on-call duty at weekends and public holidays. The contractor must also provide all necessary state-of-the-art equipment according to the requirements of medical device law and ensure their permanent technical functionality, maintenance, and the performance of safety inspections. The provision of all necessary consumables must be timely and demand-driven, in the qualities defined by the lead products. In addition, the consumables and equipment required for ACT measurements and Coagucheck-PTT measurements must be provided. The contract period is four years.
