Sweden – Architectural and related services – Projekttävling avseende gestaltning av nytt kulturhus, Österskans

Halmstad Municipality is planning a new cultural centre on Österskans – a modern building with a flexible cultural and event arena, cultural school and spaces for various cultural expressions. Together with the existing cultural activities, it will form a vibrant cultural quarter that strengthens the city centre's attractiveness and develops Halmstad's cultural life. The project also includes the establishment of a privately-owned hotel on the site. The area is located in the centre, 200 metres from Stora torg, east of Nissan. The municipality owns the land. Interested suppliers are invited to apply to participate in the design competition for the cultural centre. Four suppliers will be invited to participate in the competition, with a competition fee of 400,000 kr. Halmstad Municipality intends to award the winning supplier a contract for the continued provision of architectural services related to the project.
