The public service delegation for the operation of the SYNER'GIE heat network was awarded in 2016 to DALKIA by LE MANS METROPOLE. To date, the heat network spans approximately 50 km and supplies more than 210 substations located in the cities of Le Mans and Allonnes. The newly validated Amendment 4 by the delegating authority will allow this network to be extended by more than 20 km and to supply nearly a hundred new substations by 2030. This development will be accompanied by the construction of a new 16 MWth gas-fired boiler, the creation of an import/export substation with RCU Mans Nord Enr'gie and the installation of a hydro-accumulation system at the existing Bords de l'Huisne boiler. Work is currently underway to connect around thirty new substations (residential and community buildings of the Métropole) and will be completed by the end of 2026. The subject of the present consultation concerns the planned programme of works from 2027 to 2029, which provides for the creation of a DN200 loop feeder as well as the connection of approximately 70 new substations. The total linear measurement to be created represents approximately 17 km and will require the passage of 5 singular points (e.g. over a bridge on a cantilever or under a tram line by jacking...: the requests for authorisation are being processed and are out of scope).
