Etelä-Karjalan jätehuolto Oy has a biogas plant at the Kukkuroinmäen treatment centre in Lappeenranta. The biogas plant has two reactors and two separate lines. The bio line processes bio-waste from households and municipal service buildings in a dry reactor. The sludge line processes sludge from wastewater treatment plants. The plant produces nutrient-rich end products, which are used as recycled fertilizers and for industrial needs. For the end products of the biogas plant, we are procuring a service where the service provider processes and delivers the batches for beneficial use.
