Germany – Building construction work – TWB: Kernsanierung eines Studierendenwohnheims in Chemnitz

The Studentenwerk Chemnitz-Zwickau plans to comprehensively renovate, reconstruct and modernise the student residence at Reichenhainer Straße 51 in Chemnitz. Approximately 140 single apartments with private bathrooms and mini-kitchens are to be created in the residence after the renovation. In addition to the 140 residential units, two barrier-free apartments and two caretaker rooms as well as a community area (Community Lounge) are to be created. The gutting of the building will be carried out in advance by the Studentenwerk Chemnitz-Zwickau and is not part of the scope of services. The planning and renovation will be awarded as a total contract to a general contractor (based on a PPP ownership model without end financing) in a negotiated procedure with a selection phase. The remuneration for the planning and renovation services will be paid in instalments at fixed milestones, deviating from the VOB/B. Funding for the renovation of the residence has been approved from the "Junges Wohnen" programme.
