PURPOSE OF THESE SERVICES

Rental and maintenance of (flat) linen for the nursing home De Maaspoorte in Maaseik.

EXPLANATION

The contracting authority wishes to conclude an agreement for the rental, maintenance, collection, and delivery of (flat) linen for the nursing home De Maaspoorte in Maaseik, with a capacity of 124 residents. The contract includes the provision, cleaning, maintenance, collection, and return of the (flat) linen. The contractor performs these services with the utmost care for quality, hygiene, continuity of service, and sustainability. Flat linen includes, among other things:

* fitted sheets;

* flat sheets;

* washable underpads;

* pillowcases;

* bath towels;

* washcloths;

* kitchen towels;

* tea towels;

* microfibre cloths.

The contract also includes the occasional washing and treatment of contaminated linen, in accordance with the applicable hygiene and safety regulations.

PERFORMANCE OF THE SERVICE

The contractor is responsible for the following during the entire duration of the contract:

* providing sufficient flat linen according to the needs of the nursing home;

* collecting the soiled linen;

* cleaning, maintaining, and, if necessary, repairing or replacing the linen;

* quality control of the linen;

* packing and delivering clean, ready-to-use linen.

The collection of soiled linen and the delivery of clean linen take place at least twice (2) per week according to a schedule that is agreed upon in mutual consultation with the contracting authority. The tenderer indicates the proposed days and times for collection and delivery in the tender form. See part III of this tender for more information about the service.

CONTRACT DURATION

The contract has an initial duration of 1 year and can be extended to a maximum of 4 years in total (see point II.2 below).
