New construction of the Vocational School Centre (BSZ) Bad Windsheim

Complete demolition of the existing building of the vocational school of the Vocational School Centre (BSZ) Bad Windsheim, with prior decontamination of hazardous substances. The building will be completely demolished down to the subsoil, including foundations, deep foundations and drainage channels, as a new building will be erected on the same site. The demolition is part of the overall project for the new construction of the Vocational School Centre Bad Windsheim. School operations will be relocated to an interim building for the duration of the construction work, and the demolition will only take place after the complete evacuation of the existing building. The building to be demolished is a four-storey school building (basement, ground floor, 1st and 2nd floor), constructed in several phases with the construction years 1962, 1976 and 1980. The gross floor area is approximately 3,696 m², the enclosed space approximately 10,902 m³. Structurally, it is a solid building made of reinforced concrete and masonry, partly as a reinforced concrete frame structure with masonry infill, partly as load-bearing masonry. The services include the setting up of the construction site, the demolition of the external facilities including tree felling and clearing, and the creation of a construction road, the decontamination, the dismantling of the technical building equipment (sanitary, heating, electrical), the clearing and removal of bulky waste, the selective dismantling of the superstructure, the mechanical large-scale demolition and the disposal and recycling of the materials generated. The building contains hazardous substances, mainly asbestos-containing floor coverings and adhesive, asbestos-containing paper separators and spackling compounds, asbestos cement components, insulation made of old artificial mineral wool in floors, walls, ceilings and on pipelines, as well as tar-containing cork insulation, adhesives and sealants (polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons). The decontamination is to be carried out in accordance with the Technical Rules for Hazardous Substances TRGS 519, TRGS 521, TRGS 524 and TRGS 551. Work on weakly bound asbestos products may only be carried out by companies that have official approval under the Hazardous Substances Ordinance. The contractor provides all services including the decontamination. The removal and disposal of soil material, further excavation and backfilling and compaction of the resulting excavation pit are not the subject of this tender and will be carried out as part of the subsequent rough construction work.
