HOFOR District Cooling is opening a tender with negotiation for the purchase of excavation work in soil and smithing services. The framework agreement covers the delivery of contractor services related to the establishment, renovation, relocation and dismantling of district cooling pipelines - including all associated activities and obligations necessary for the complete execution of the task, as well as smithing-related contractor services related to the establishment, renovation, relocation and dismantling of district cooling pipelines - including all associated activities and obligations necessary for the complete execution of the task. Tasks may include securing work, soil removal, establishment of cable trenches, etc. The task area is currently geographically limited to Copenhagen and covers the delivery of district cooling to primarily large commercial and public customers via a contiguous pipeline network. HOFOR District Cooling A/S has placed central plants in Copenhagen and the plants combine free cooling with seawater and compressor cooling in a pipe network. There will be both projects and more operation-related tasks. The work can occur anywhere and at any time in the Municipality of Copenhagen. HOFOR estimates the total maximum contract value for the "Framework Agreement for Earth and Smithing Work" to be up to DKK 400,000,000 in the up to 8-year agreement period. District Cooling expects that for excavation work, 5-8 projects will be initiated annually, and of these, 2-3 projects will be ongoing. For smithing-related projects, this number will be 4 projects annually and 1 project will be ongoing. All projects are coordinated with HOFOR's representatives. The agreement is ultimately awarded to one tenderer.
