The procurement of an AI assistance system for processing housing benefit applications is being carried out as part of the project for the nationwide rollout of an AI-supported processing of housing benefit applications. The aim is to create a nationwide offering for the use of a software tool for all 39 housing benefit authorities in the country, with which the preliminary examination of housing benefit applications is supported by AI. This will significantly accelerate the processing of housing benefit applications in the housing benefit offices, relieve the caseworkers on site, noticeably shorten the time from application to payment of the housing benefit for citizens, and harmonize the procedure in the housing benefit offices. The AI assistance system will be provided as Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) from a cloud environment.
