Germany – Database and operating software package – SAP-Cloud ERP Private Transformation im Greenfield Ansatz als Werksvertrag

The end-of-life of the SAP ECC system by the end of 2027 as an external impetus for transformation, presents us with the challenge of a comprehensive SAP transformation. In January 2024, we started with a strategy consultancy. Through extensive analyses and workshops, it was determined that a greenfield migration from our current on-premises solution to the SAP-Cloud ERP Private is the right path for AWB. The results documents of the strategy consultancy can be found in the annex. As a further building block, we have SAP BTP in use and are gaining initial experience with the Integration Suite. The AWB is integrated into the corporate environment, consolidation and in-house cash run through the Stadtwerke Köln Group. Hosting and basic maintenance of our SAP ECC system is carried out by RheinEnergie AG, another group company within the Stadtwerke Köln Group. The basic maintenance, which is not contractually covered by the Roles & Responsibilities of SAP, will be transferred to an external AMS service provider. A further tender will be issued for this purpose. SAP licenses are procured directly from SAP SE and are not the subject of this tender.
