The Lippeverband has been operating a wastewater treatment plant in Werl-Westönnen since 1981, with an original design capacity of 18,800 population equivalents (PE). The Lippeverband intends to carry out comprehensive reinvestment measures at the Werl-Westönnen wastewater treatment plant. Both the structural substance and the mechanical, process engineering and electrical equipment show significant signs of aging in parts, have reached the end of their useful life or have already exceeded it. As part of the preliminary planning, three possible expansion variants of the wastewater treatment plant are to be compared and, on this basis, a preferred variant is to be decided.
