Ruhrbahn GmbH (hereinafter Ruhrbahn or the contracting authority) is a transport company in the Ruhr area, which ensures mobility in the cities of Essen and Mülheim by providing a public service contract. The subject of the procurement are, in particular, demolition and dismantling works as part of the renovation work at Mülheim Hauptbahnhof. The services advertised here include, in particular, the complete dismantling of the distribution level in two construction sections, including floor, wall and ceiling constructions, window and door systems, technical building equipment, cable systems and ventilation systems. All components, including substructures and fastening means, are to be dismantled professionally and disposed of in accordance with the applicable regulations. The dismantling of the facade and window systems includes the complete dismantling including frame constructions, claddings and ventilation grilles. Suitable fall protection measures are to be installed simultaneously with the dismantling. The measure also includes the section-by-section dismantling of the existing roof, including roof sealing, concrete slabs and the steel structure (steel beams and supports) in accordance with the specifications of the demolition concept. The dismantling of the existing roof will only take place after the complete construction of an emergency roof including functioning drainage. The renovation work at Mülheim an der Ruhr Hauptbahnhof will be carried out in two construction sections during ongoing operations. During each construction section, the other construction section must ensure unrestricted access to the platforms and the accessibility of the lift systems. The construction processes are to be organised accordingly and coordinated with the operational requirements of the contracting authority. The services include the preparation of a dismantling and disposal plan based on the demolition concept, as well as all necessary ancillary services (e.g. site establishment, safety measures, scaffolding, auxiliary structures). All works are to be carried out in compliance with the applicable safety, labour and environmental protection regulations. The specified execution time is approximately 12 months, with work to commence in November 2026 according to the contracting authority's planning.
