Germany – Refuse recycling services – Verwertung von Elektroaltgeräten

The Ludwigsburg district is responsible, under the Circular Economy Act, for the recording, collection, and disposal of waste for its approximately 545,000 inhabitants within its administrative boundaries. The provision of waste management services has been entrusted to the Abfallverwertungsgesellschaft des Landkreises Ludwigsburg mbH (AVL). The AVL's contracts with third parties for the collection, transport, and disposal of waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) expire on 31 December 2026. A new tender is to be awarded through an EU-wide procurement procedure as of 1 January 2027.

Total quantity or scope of the contract:

The following group designations apply according to ElektroG:

- Lot 1: approx. 1,100 Mg of WEEE from Group 4

- Lot 2: approx. 1,300 Mg of WEEE from Group 5

- Lot 3: approx. 400 Mg of WEEE from Groups 1, 2 and 4
