Czechia – Traffic-monitoring equipment – Modernizace systému preference vozidel MHD

The subject of the public procurement is the Modernisation of the existing preference system for public transport (MHD), which no longer meets the requirements for utilising the capabilities of modern traffic controllers (SSZ), particularly in the timely detection of vehicles of interest and the setting of passage priorities. The existing capacity-insufficient transmission network will be replaced by ITS-G5 communication in accordance with the standards ETSI TS 103 301, ETSI EN 302 636 1,2,3,4,5,6. To ensure communication with traffic light controllers in the C-ITS standard, the control system of the vehicles (trams and DPMO buses) will be modernised as part of the project, focusing mainly on on-board computers, units for communicating with traffic light controllers (OBU), communication units (wifi, GSM, GNSS), digital indicators, power units, and receivers for the visually impaired. The City of Olomouc is simultaneously gradually installing new-generation traffic light controllers and preference control units (RSU) at intersections, complying with the new standards (C-ITS). The subject of the public procurement consists of:

- Delivery and installation of components into the procurer's vehicles in the scope and manner defined in the SPC;

- Commissioning of the vehicle system and preference as a whole, i.e., implementation of the newly delivered components into the vehicle control and information system and implementation of the vehicle preference units into the two-way communication of the procurer's MHD vehicles with traffic light controllers (incorporation of preference into routine operation),

- Resolution of complaints, defects, and software updates within the user, service, and legislative support of the system (maintenance program) according to the conditions agreed in the CONTRACT for a period of 60 months.
