Deutsches Zentrum für Luft- und Raumfahrt e.V. (DLR)GermanyPublished on Oct 21, 2026
No deadline given

Description

The DLR is constructing a large infrastructure to test and trial the maritime technologies to be newly developed in a standardised laboratory environment as well as under real conditions on a floating research platform. For the development, demonstration and preparation of certifications of maritime energy systems, a seagoing technology platform in the hull of a ship (MODULARIS) is therefore being procured for new energy carriers and energy converters as well as for the testing of other technical and navigational systems. The planned mooring location is in Kiel; delivery of the platform is scheduled for October 2027. The subject of the tender is the procurement of management services for the technology platform MODULARIS. The service is to be provided by a technically qualified and capable contractor who has demonstrable experience in the research environment as well as in the operation of research or offshore vessels. The provision of services is divided into two phases. Phase 1 includes, in particular, the preparation of the MODULARIS as a SOLAS vessel for use as a research platform, the creation of SMM and PMS, support in the preparation of the legally compliant ship's crew, and the initial equipment. With the delivery of the MODULARIS by the shipyard to the DLR, Phase 2 begins, in which the contractor, as a registered Managing Company, ensures the management and safe operation of the technology platform until the end of the contract period.
