VGM intends to carry out large-scale maintenance for the museum building in Amsterdam; the Masterplan 2028 (MP28). After the renovation, the museum building can be operated for the following 15 years with minimal maintenance pressure. By implementing several building-related interventions, the ambition is also realised to provide visitors with a better museum experience and various bottlenecks for employees are resolved, allowing them to carry out their duties in a more pleasant and efficient manner, with the safety of visitors, employees, and the collection always being the top priority. The project consists of two building sections to be renovated, namely Kurokawa (approximately 5,800 m2 BVO) and Rietveld (approximately 8,800 m2 BVO). The tender in question relates to the development into a Technical Design of the Definitive Design to be provided by the client (phase A), the execution in two construction phases (phase B) and the management and maintenance (phase C).
