A flushing truck is an essential vehicle for the operation and maintenance of the fuel farm at Brussels Airport Company. It is used for specific maintenance activities that are necessary for the compliant and safe operation of both the fuel farm and the hydrant network, including: • The removal of water and sediments that accumulate at the low points of the hydrant network; • The venting of the high points of the hydrant network (to release trapped air bubbles); • The flushing and checking of hydrant pit valves; • The pumping and loading of jet A1 fuel from parts of the hydrant network and from recovery or test tanks. A supply contract will be awarded, which has a duration equal to the delivery period and a 2-year warranty period starting from the date of a successful site acceptance test. Linked to this, a maintenance contract will also be awarded, which starts once the warranty period ends and has a duration of 13 years.
