The subject of the contract is the selection of a contractor who will undertake the provision of services for the processing and disposal of waste at the Kavala Sanitary Landfill (KYT). More specifically: Section A: The Contractor will provide waste pre-processing services with their own equipment and make them available at the Second Cell of the KYT Kavala, including its operation and maintenance. Additionally, it includes the disposal of the residue from the processing of the blue bin at the KDAU Drama and from the processing of mixed municipal waste at the mechanical sorting and composting unit in Drama. The duration of Section A will be for two years (24 months). Section B: During Section B, the MAA Kavala will have been put into operation and the Contractor will provide services for the disposal of the residue, as derived from the approved integrated plan of the Region of Eastern Macedonia and Thrace, at the Second Cell of the KYT Kavala, assuming its operation and maintenance. The duration of Section B will be three years (36 months). The following options are envisaged: a) The exercise of the quantity option for Section A, for the increase of incoming flows for processing, namely the processing of an additional 25,000 tons annually for two (2) years, in the event that during the initial contract period a larger quantity of waste is received. The estimated value of the option is 2,010,500.00 € excluding VAT 24% (estimated value including VAT at 2,493,020.00 €). b) The exercise of the option for the extension of the contract period for Section A for two (2) more years, namely the pre-processing services of waste with their own equipment and making them available at the Second Cell of the KYT Kavala, including its operation and maintenance, in the event that at the end of the two years of the initial contract the MAA Kavala has not been constructed and put into operation. Additionally, it includes the disposal of the residue from the processing of the blue bin at the KDAU Drama and from the processing of mixed municipal waste at the mechanical sorting and composting unit in Drama. The estimated value of the option is 5,526,269.00 € excluding VAT 24% (estimated value including VAT at 6,852,573.56 €). c) The exercise of the quantity option for Section A, for the increase of incoming flows for processing, namely the processing of an additional 25,000 tons annually for two (2) years, in the event that on the one hand the option has been exercised as described in paragraph (b) and on the other hand a larger quantity of waste is received. The estimated value of the option is 2,010,500.00 € excluding VAT 24% (estimated value including VAT at 2,493,020.00 €). d) The exercise of the quantity option for Section B, for the increase of incoming residue, namely the final disposal of an additional 40,000 tons annually for three (3) years, in the event that during the initial contract period a larger quantity of residue is received. The estimated value of the option is 3,968,400.00 € excluding VAT 24% (estimated value including VAT at 4,920,816.00 €). e) The exercise of the option for the extension of the contract period for Section B for three (3) more years, where the MAA Kavala will operate, and the Contractor will provide services for the disposal of the residue, as derived from the approved integrated plan of the Region of Eastern Macedonia and Thrace. The estimated value of the option is 2,212,085.37 € excluding VAT 24% (estimated value including VAT at 2,742,985.86 €). f) The exercise of the quantity option for Section B, with the increase of incoming residue, namely the final disposal of an additional 40,000 tons annually for three (3) years, in the event that on the one hand the option has been exercised as described in paragraph (e) and on the other hand the incoming flows have increased. The estimated value of the option is 3,968,400.00 € excluding VAT 24% (estimated value including VAT at 4,920,816.00 €). The award criterion for the Contract is the most economically advantageous tender based on price.
