Netherlands – Rehabilitation services – Ernstige Dyslexiezorg
Description
Serious Dyslexia (SD) is assistance for young people with technical reading problems, possibly combined with spelling problems, which poses a serious limitation for their school and/or future work situation. The assistance that falls under the lot SD should contribute to achieving the following objectives: • The young person achieves a sufficient level of technical reading and spelling, expressed in common requirements and criteria suitable for the age, school level and/or professional prospects of the young person. • Parents and school have adequate support skills to independently positively influence and stimulate the technical reading development and possibly the spelling development of the child. • The young person knows which aids he/she can use, so that he/she is less hindered by his/her dyslexia and can better cope at school and in society. Parents and school are also aware of these aids. 14,000,000
