The changing framework conditions in the environment of statutory health insurance funds and the increasing digitalisation of the working world require constant change. The organisation and processes of BIG direkt gesund are continuously reviewed and adapted to needs, with the aim of reducing performance and administrative costs while simultaneously increasing customer satisfaction. In particular, with the introduction of AI-supported processes and self-services, customer orientation is at the forefront. Changes to the IT infrastructure are not exempt from this transformation. In addition to the data processed in the so-called GKV-specific infrastructure (core system BITMARCK_21c|ng), which is operated by a BITMARCK data centre, all non-GKV-specific systems are operated in a Private Cloud by a Managed Service Provider. This contract is coming to an end, so the services are to be re-tendered accordingly. The transfer of the services to the new provider is planned to start in the 2nd quarter of 2027. BIG direkt gesund is looking for a partner who will initially take over the operation of the non-GKV-specific IT infrastructure (Lift and Shift) and, beyond that, support BIG direkt gesund in a needs-oriented manner on its “Journey to Cloud” (planning, migration, implementation, 2nd-level support) – always with the premise that every migration offers a clear business benefit. This service is being tendered under the designation “Managed IT Services” for a period of four years with the option of extending it twice by one year each in a negotiated procedure with a prior selection stage at EU level and bears the award number BO-7041.
