Svenska kraftnät needs to procure HMI computers and related equipment for station ST10 Barkeryd and ST20 Hurva. Each station has two converter stations. The control systems in the stations consist largely of computers, and the computers for the HMI systems are approaching the end of their technical lifespan, 8-10 years, and need to be renewed as they are now 9 years old. The remaining parts of the control systems have a significant remaining lifespan. The lifespan of part of the control system in ST10 Barkeryd and ST20 Hurva in HVDC, the SCM system, is soon obsolete and has reached its technical lifespan. The technical lifespan of the SCM system is calculated at 10 years and for the remaining parts in the control system the lifespan is calculated at 20 years. The project therefore replaces part of the control system 10 years before a complete replacement.
