The subject of the procurement is a research and development project to investigate and further develop AI-supported methods for side-channel analysis of cryptographic implementations. The focus is on post-quantum cryptographic procedures as well as, for reference, symmetric procedures (e.g. AES) on microcontroller and FPGA platforms. The contractor will set up a measurement/testing environment, select or generate datasets (power/EM, possibly multimodal) and investigate robust model architectures, trace compression, test-time tuning, as well as suitable evaluation metrics and workflows for reproducible evaluations. Optionally, approaches to the auto-formalisation of selected security proofs will be examined by way of example. Deliverables include reports and presentations, executive summaries, a practical guide, datasets, source code, and an enhanced software toolbox including installation instructions, user manual, and a short quick-start tutorial.
