Belgium – Urban railway works – Spoorvernieuwing Oostende-Middelkerke (De Greefplein)

These works are taking place in Middelkerke; from Joseph Casselaan/ Paul de Smet de Naeyerstraat intersection - to the beginning of the sea dike N34. The contract concerns:

• the laying of a new tram track with track realignment, the renewal of the ballast foundation, inspection chambers and manhole chambers

• the new tram bedding will be partially executed with a green bedding

• the renewal of a junction

• the installation of a new stop and equipping it with all the equipment for the benefit of passengers

• the renewal of the entire overhead line, incl. tram masts

• the reorganisation of a number of crossings/intersections. A detailed description of this contract can be found in part 3 “Technical and/or functional specifications” of this tender.
