Germany – Facade work – U4_HoGe_HY_Haltestelle Horner Geest_VE305_Hinterlüftete Metallfassade

For connecting the potential area of Horner Geest, a branch will be made from the lines U2/U4. To this end, a diverging line will be created in the area of the existing stop Horner Rennbahn. The route will then follow the road alignment of Manshardtstraße as far as the junction with Dannerallee. In the area of Horner Rennbahn, a new stop "Horner Rennbahn I" will be constructed south of the existing stop "Horner Rennbahn II". Approximately 1,000 m from the stop Horner Rennbahn, the stop Stoltenstraße will be located, and after a further 600 m, the terminal stop Horner Geest will be located. Following the terminal stop, a double-track storage facility for 2 trains will be constructed. The route of the new U-Bahn line U4 from the stop Horner Rennbahn to Horner Geest will be divided into 2 sections:

- Section 1: western and eastern diverging line and connection to the existing U2/U4, new stop Horner Rennbahn I and existing stop Horner Rennbahn II, as well as new U2/U4 intersection structure and utility bridges

- Section 2: route section up to the turnback and storage facility Horner Geest, including the stops Stoltenstraße and Horner Geest.

Section 1 includes the diverging area from the stop Horner Rennbahn and the intersection structure of the U4 under the existing tunnel as well as the construction of temporary auxiliary bridges along Manshardtstraße. Section 1 is currently under construction.

Section 2 includes the continuation of the U4 in the direction of Manshardtstraße/Dannerallee, the two new stops Stoltenstraße and Horner Geest, as well as a turnback and storage facility east of Dannerallee. East of the intersection structure, the route runs below Manshardtstraße. At the intersection of Manshardtstraße/Dannerallee, the route leaves Manshardtstraße and finally ends with the turnback and storage facility on the open space south of the school "Sterntalerstraße".

The structure M (008) (route M, track 1) includes the stop Horner Geest (still referred to as the stop Dannerallee in the planning approval). The structure length is approximately 255 m. The tunnel cross-section of the stop Horner Geest will be constructed as a double-track rectangular cross-section according to the standard cross-section according to TRStrab, RUR, RUT and RUHst. The stop Horner Geest will be designed with a central platform with a distribution level. The operating rooms are located one behind the other on the platform level and on the distribution levels of the west and east heads. At the west head of the stop, three entrances will be arranged, two on the north side and one exit on the south side into Legienstraße. At the east head of the stop, three entrances will be arranged, two on the north side and one on the south side.
