The building, constructed at the end of the 1950s, is to be energetically upgraded and refurbished for a further period of use. The primary focus is on the renovation of the thermal building envelope, including exterior walls/facade, floor slabs, and roof. In parallel with the energy renovation, minor renovation works in the area of the citizen's office will be carried out, which are summarized under the term "internal securing". Since continuous operation of the tax office use during the renovation period is excluded, an interim accommodation will be provided during the construction phase and the use will be temporarily relocated. For this purpose, an also in Warburg available and currently vacant administrative building in the northern city centre is planned, which is to be upgraded for interim use by means of cosmetic repairs and minor accompanying measures.
