The New Line Project between Montpellier and Perpignan (LNMP) involves creating a modern railway link (high capacity, high quality, high speed) to sustainably meet the growing demand for mobility and medium- and long-term congestion issues on the single railway axis of the Mediterranean façade of the Occitanie region. It is a mixed line for High-Speed and Freight. It includes 52.3 km of standard section, plus 7 km of connections to the classic line at Villeneuve-lès-Béziers and Lattes, as well as the connection to the Contournement ferroviaire de Nîmes et de Montpellier (CNM).
