Description

New construction of the HYROW hydrogen pipeline

GASCADE Gastransport GmbH plans to build a new high-pressure hydrogen gas pipeline from Rostock to Wrangelsburg, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, as part of the HYROW project. The project is part of the German and European hydrogen core network and comprises an approximately 115 km long pipeline with a dimension of DN 1000 and a maximum allowable operating pressure of MOP 100. The pipeline starts east of the Port of Rostock and connects in Wrangelsburg to the existing or hydrogen-converted pipeline HYOS/formerly OPAL. The project includes the hydrogen pipeline, including operationally necessary ancillary facilities, and a total of nine shut-off stations. The stations at Rostock, Wrangelsburg and Gremersdorf are planned as pigging stations; further shut-off stations are planned at Poppendorf, Ribnitz, Semlow, Süderholz, Dersekow and Müssow.
