Recent advances in ornithological research have identified new technical features that significantly enhance the effectiveness of bird-marking devices. These findings provide updated insights into the expected performance of these devices in protecting birds and now guide RTE in selecting the protection solutions to be deployed, both on the existing network and in the context of new line creation projects. Committed to a continuous improvement of its practices and environmental performance, RTE wishes to promptly integrate these scientific recommendations into its bird-marking tender, to ensure that the implemented solutions are in line with the state of the art. As part of environmental studies, RTE is considering using new bird-marking devices to maximize bird protection performance. It is therefore necessary to have a suitable procurement framework to supply and implement these new bird-marking devices for the marking operations of the network's lines.
