Description

The Max Planck Institute for Gravitational Physics Hannover (Albert-Einstein-Institut - AEI) conducts experimental fundamental research in the fields of laser interferometry, laser physics, quantum optics, and precision measurement technology to enable current and future generations of gravitational wave detectors on Earth and in space. The institute is spread across several buildings. The institute's buildings are located on the Schneiderberg campus of Leibniz University Hannover. When planning and executing the site setup and logistics, it must be taken into account that the adjacent buildings are in operation and there is little open space available. As part of the upcoming work, two measures must be coordinated, which are to be carried out in parallel at times and managed in close coordination with the client, user, and planning team: Project 305 (Measure QOP1 305 Renovation and Extension) and Project 307 (Renovation of Building 3401), with Buildings 3401 and 3405 connected by a glazed bridge on the 1st floor. Both measures must be managed in close coordination with the client, user, and planning team. 1.1 Measure 305 in Building 3405 As part of the measure, the east part of the hall-like existing building 3405 is to be renovated for physical laboratory areas (clean and grey rooms, laser and electronics laboratories, etc.) with approximately 1,240 m² NUF 1-6. For this purpose, services for all structural and technical measures are required, such as adaptation of the fire protection concept, structural adaptations in rough and finish trades, dismantling of the existing building services and installation of a new ventilation, cooling and electrical supply and the cleanroom installation. In addition, office spaces with a NUF 1-6 of 684 m² are to be created. For this purpose, a solution as economical as possible is to be found as an extension or conversion of an existing building part. Work on supply and disposal lines in the ground must be carried out for the buildings. 1.2 Measure 307 in Building 3401 At the beginning of 2024, the leased building stock of the MPI, which has so far been supervised by the university in terms of building services, was transferred to the MPG. As part of a stock analysis carried out in 2024, it was found that, in particular, there are considerable fire protection deficiencies in Building 3401. In addition, considerable deficiencies in various components and in the building services were identified, which must be remedied as soon as possible as part of an SBTI measure. Building 3401 was constructed around 1968 as a reinforced concrete skeleton structure incl. (brick) masonry wall additions and completely renovated/renovated in the years 2002-2005. In the three storeys UG, EG (high parterre) and OG, current uses as office and communal rooms, workshops, IT areas and various smaller (teaching) laboratories incl. secondary/support uses (WCs, showers, corridors, storage, technology) are taking place. Special note regarding tender questions due to special external events (e.g. SARS-COV-2 or Ukraine War): Please take into account any possible or recognisable impairments in your offer, e.g. with regard to the availability of materials and products, labour, a possibly delayed submission of required evidence, effects on any subcontractors, etc. Questions that arise in this context, we kindly ask to be submitted in good time before the deadline for submission of the offer via the notification system of the eTendering.
