Germany – Secondary school construction work – Generalübernehmerleistungen Sanierung, Abbruch und Erweiterungsneubau für die Carlo-Schmid-Oberschule CSO

The HOWOGE Wohnungsbaugesellschaft mit beschränkter Haftung (HOWOGE) is one of the six municipal housing companies of the Land Berlin. As part of the Berlin School Construction Offensive, HOWOGE is responsible for the new construction and major renovations of schools on behalf of the Land Berlin. In this role, HOWOGE intends to undertake the renovation, conversion, and extension of the ISS Carlo-Schmid-Oberschule (CSO) in Berlin Spandau. The services to be awarded concern general contracting services for the turnkey renovation, extension, and partial reconstruction of buildings on the school campus, including the demolition of ancillary buildings, and the creation of outdoor facilities during ongoing school operations. The Carlo-Schmid-Oberschule (CSO) is an Integrated Secondary School with a grammar school upper level (ISS) and is attended by approximately 1,000 students. The school site is located in the Spandau-Wilhelmstadt district of Berlin, at Lutoner Straße 15-19, 13581 Berlin. The building stock, dating from 1974, includes a 4-storey main school building, a 1-storey canteen building, a 1-storey sports hall with an additional gymnastics hall, and a 1-storey ancillary building on the school grounds. Due to the increasing number of students, there is currently an additional temporary school container on the site. To ensure the performance of the Integrated Secondary School (ISS), comprehensive renovation, conversion, and extension measures are necessary at the Carlo-Schmid-Oberschule.
