Germany – Installation of doors – Haus B VE 314 Innentüren und Zargen

The House B of the student residence in Ilmenau/ Max-Planck-Ring is to be comprehensively renovated. The existing building organisation with a central staircase and central corridor will be retained. By removing the non-load-bearing internal walls, the cell structure will be dissolved and spaciousness will be created for each apartment. The existing gable roof will be dismantled and replaced by a prefabricated timber construction as a new full storey. Each student will have a private wet cell with shower and WC. Living units are planned on all upper floors, while the five upper floors (ground floor, 1st-3rd floor and new attic storey) are entirely reserved for living, the basement houses technical rooms, caretaker's office, laundry room and bicycle parking.
